This Privacy Policy explains how Ripella ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use ripella.com and our services. By using Ripella, you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information — your email address and authentication details, managed through our authentication provider. If you set a password, it is stored in hashed form by that provider; we never see it in plain text.
  • Content and inputs — the product URLs, brand information, and other text you submit, and the marketing content generated for you.
  • Usage and technical data — information about how you use the service, such as actions taken, generation counts, timestamps, IP address, browser type, and similar diagnostic data used for security and reliability.
  • Payment information — when you subscribe, payment is handled by our payment provider, Dodo Payments, which acts as Merchant of Record. Your card details are provided directly to Dodo Payments and its processors; we do not collect or store your full card number. We receive limited billing details such as your plan, subscription status, and country.

2. How we use your information

  • to provide, operate, and improve the service and generate content for you;
  • to manage your account, subscription, and billing;
  • to communicate with you about your account, updates, and support;
  • to enforce our Terms, prevent abuse, and maintain security;
  • to comply with legal obligations.

3. Legal bases

Where applicable law (such as the EU/UK GDPR) requires it, we process your personal data on the basis of performing our contract with you (to provide the service), our legitimate interests (to secure and improve the service), your consent (where requested), and compliance with legal obligations.

4. Service providers and sub-processors

We share data with trusted third parties only as needed to run the service. These currently include:

  • Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage;
  • Vercel and Railway — application hosting and infrastructure;
  • Cloudflare — content delivery, security, and bot protection;
  • Anthropic and OpenAI — AI providers that process your inputs to generate text and image content;
  • Dodo Payments — payment processing and Merchant of Record.

Your inputs are transmitted to the AI providers above solely to generate your Output. We do not sell your personal information.

5. Data retention

We retain your account and content data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you delete content or close your account, we delete or anonymize the associated data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to meet legal, accounting, or security obligations.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers — to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location (for example under the GDPR or India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. 8. International transfers

We and our service providers may process your data in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies and similar technologies (including local storage) to keep you signed in, remember your preferences (such as theme), and keep the service secure. We do not use them to sell your data.

10. Children

Ripella is not directed to children and is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, by notifying you.
